Description
Steve Lukather has been a force in the music
industry for many years. Luke, as his friends call
him, began playing the six string at the age of seven.
By nine, he was handling blues scales and Hendrix
solos; by eleven Luke was already earning money
with his talent, performing on the party circuit
around L.A. His high school bandmates formed a
group eventually known as TOTO, which sold
more than twenty million records worldwide. Steve
has also lent his signature sound to countless studio
and session projects.
The Haywire ASP (Active Steve Lukather Pro) pays homage to this extraordinary player. It features EMG Pro Series SLV actives pickups. This pickup was designed for Steve Lukather and is available only in this "Pro Series" system, or if you buy an Ernie Ball "Luke" model. The SLV is an over-wound version of the SAV pickup and features hidden pole pieces. The over-winding creates an even fatter tone.
